Matt Young
Director of Bands
Mr. Young became Director of Bands at Vinita High School in 2007. Before accepting this position, he was Director of Bands at Vian Schools in Vian, OK. Mr. Young graduated Cum Laude from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2000. He is originally from Chelsea, OK.
In addition to music, Mr. Young’s other interests include computers, aviation (private pilot ASEL, IA) and amateur radio (AE5NM).
Mr. Young is a member of the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, Oklahoma Music Education Association, Music Educators National Conference, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
