We had a great first day. Time to relax a little then get some sleep. Tomorrow – Slave Haven Underground Tour – guided tour and museum visits about the underground railroad, mass band rehearsal, then new years dinner and dance.

Make sure you allow extra time when you leave for the high school. Students driving yourselves – take your time. Visibility is likely to be an issue if there is much snow on the roads. If you will be late, please call. If you are unable to make it, please call. I’ll spread the message through the calling tree if we need to make a change. My intent is to be at the bus barn by 4:00.
Be sure to bring a coat! Also, a blanket wouldn’t be a bad idea, you all know it takes a while for the bus to get warm sometimes! I hope you are looking forward to this trip as much as I am.

I’ll be talking with Mr. Rankin and Mr. Heisely tonight and tomorrow morning. For now, the plan is still to load at 5:15 and pull out at 6:00 AM Wednesday morning. If weather makes us decide to push back departure or cancel you will receive a call through the calling tree and an update will be posted here.
If you have any issues getting to the high school Wednesday morning – be it that you are going to be late or your parents do not feel comfortable getting you to the high school, please call as soon as possible. We will be a little more lenient than normal do to the weather. DO plan on leaving home early enough to take your time and still arrive on time.
